I have listed these 3 blogs together because they are all written by Gamal Hennessy and he knows his nightlife. I have a strong interest in the nightlife scene and I love learning about the in's and out's of it. I'd love to be an owner in the industry so I'm absorbing all the information I can get a hold of and he's blogs are great for that. Plus, New York City nightlife is always exciting and fun to hear about.

Walt Mossberg
If you read the Wall Street Journal and you love technology then you probably know Walt Mossberg. He writes 2 columns for the WSJ and they are awesome for someone into technology, gadgets, and pretty much all things that are digital. If you don't know him or his column, I highly suggest it. Plus, he creates lots of videos too so you can watch him in action actually showing you about the digitals gizmos which is pretty cool.

Marcella Vonn Harting
If you are interested or involved in health, fitness, or any kind of supplements then you need to know about Marcella and what she does. She travels the world teaching, inspiring, and training people about health and how they can improve it naturally. Her blog consists of leadership traits, health information, and other interesting tidbits.

Building a Website

I recently designed and built a website as a gift to my sister on her birthday. I have studied HTML, CSS, and XHTML, but the process of actually doing is different then just reading about a topic. So to say the least, it was an experience. An experience in a very good way because this broadened my horizons and my knowledge of the web more than ever before. If you are reading this and you have never built a website, I strongly encourage it especially in the technological world will live in today.

Doesn't it seem that everyone has a website these days? Yes, almost definitely and if you don't you should at least own the domain of your name if you can get a hold of it so that one day you can do something with it.

Anyway, my sister is a hairstylist in Scottsdale, Arizona and I thought that it would not only be a great gift for her birthday but also a great way for her to build up a broader clientele. If your in your own business, I just simply feel that you need your own website for a larger audience to connect to you.

The process of putting it all together to build the site:
Fortunately for me, I had a good friend of mine who is studying to be a graphic designer help me build the template for the site. I then used Dreamweaver and Photoshop to construct the pages of the site. Again, I am not an expect in this field but I do have a very strong interest in web design so the work was fun and challenging in a good way for me. After the site was designed and built within Dreamweaver (not that I will ever stop tinkering with it though), I began researching what company I wanted to host it for me. This process was quite an ordeal but I eventually settled on GoDaddy because it is inexpensive, reliable, and well known. I had bought the domain I wanted to use previously from GoDaddy so the process of setting up a hosting account was fairly easy. Next I uploaded my files of the website to my GoDaddy's hosting site and wham mo! My website is now up!

The overall process in building this website was fun, educational, challenging, and certainly frustrating to say the least but at the end of the day I can now say I'm very happy with the results - plus my sister was ecstatic and overjoyed when she found out :)
