CrossLoop - A way to help those in need (on the computer at least)

Perhaps the world is not as big as it once was....

Well, at least the internet has helped to make things a bit smaller. When it comes to helping a friend or family member with computer related problems there is only one solution that is far superior to the others - its called www.crossloop.com.

The idea behind it is simply: a friend needs help on his or her computer and you have the skills to help so you CrossLoop with eachother!

Here's how to do it: You both go to CrossLoop download the free software and set up a free account. Then you and your friend sign in. You (the helper) will "Access" while your friend (the one in need of help) will "Share" their access code with you. *It helps to be on the phone with eachother. Then you simply type the access code in and connect to your friends computer!

Once connected you will have the ability to view their screen exactly how they see it and move their mouse so you can show them how to solve their problem. Beautiful.

The entrepreneur behind this has really out done himself. Bravo, Bravo. I have used it quite a few times to help my mom with some of her issues on her computer. And keep in mind that I live in New York City while she lives in Arizona. Now that is some serious distance, and yet I now have the tools to help her as if I am sitting right in front of her on her own pc.

Also, It currently only works on pc's so sorry to the mac users out there. And here is CrossLoop's Blog.

For those entrepreneurs wondering how they can take advantage of this awesome tool; how about using it as a way to show, collaborate, and help other entrepreneurs.

Here's how you can reach me through www.crossloop.com/DallasHarting

A Revolutionary Entrepreneur - Marc Ecko

His name is Marc Ecko. Think: revolutionary, young, energetic, passsionate, inspiring, wild, out-of-the-box, pure, and definitely out of the norm. That list could go on and on but the point is that he is a young entrepreneur who has an extremely successful company and a great outlook on life. If you are an entrepreneur and you think that all business owners are the same old guy then you need to research this guy.

You can start with this video from Marc Ecko Entreprises.

It is awesome what he has done...

I will not spoil it - read it from the source himself

The Power of Groups and Networking

What a novel idea...

Go online to find places, things, and people to meet with offline in the real world. If you have not heard or had a chance to visit www.meetup.com then I would strongly suggest you get to it! Recently, I set up a free account and did some searches to find things that interested me in my area. I found a number of groups in my area that I would have no idea existed if it weren't for meetup. Below, I have listed some of the events that interest me.

NY Tech Meetup - I first came across this group because I have always been very interested in technology, gadgets, and computers. One of the best things about this group is that I get a chance to read the posts that all the member write about technology. What a way to learn about new websites and technology! I feel much more in the loop and who knows what kind of entrepreneurial ideas I can conjure up from this group.

New York City Entrepreneurs - I have just recently joined this group but I am hoping to meet other entrepreneurs who are energetic, passionate, and driven. "Birds of a feather, flock together."

NYC Web Design
- I have always had a strong interest in web design. I am hoping this group will help connect me to some professionals who can help guide me onto the right path to developing even more of a skill within this field.

Law of Attraction - The Secret had a very powerful and positive impact on millions of people. This group is about getting those people together with the same type of mindsets and that is why I felt it was a must for myself to be involved with.

Restaurant Owners & Managers - I have been interested in the nightlife industry for some time now and networking with restaurant owners is a great way for me to get established. I also find that owners in any business to all have fascinating stories and successful guidance advice that any entrepreneur can learn from.

I am sure there will be more groups in the future for me to discover but in the mean time good luck to all you fellow entrepreneurs looking for others with the similar mindsets and passions for life...

To be successful in the 21st Century

Here is an interesting presentation about "What our students need to be successful in the 21st Century." The original creators are Karl Fisch, Scott McLeod, and XPLANE. They created it under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share-Alike license so it could be shared with others. It is wonderfully put together and it will really make you think about where we may be going. Astounding...
